Could you introduce yourself to us?
I am Maximus Kelechi Opara, the Creative Designer; and owner of Max Chidera limited.
How long have you been in the Creative Industry?
It would be five years now!
Where are you currently based?
I am originally from the IMO state, currently based in Lagos, Nigeria.
What motivated your interest/venture into designing?
I’m very in touch with my creative side, and I have used it to explore designing over the years.
I love fashion.
Fashion is a dynamic field for me. I express my passion for it through unique designs.
You need to love the process; if not, you won't breakthrough.
How did you begin in the industry?
Like most people, I started designing for friends and family, and then from there, the base grew. I also got referrals from people who saw my pieces and wanted to have them. With time more people got to know about the brand, and we are still growing. The rest is history! They say!
How would you describe yourself?
I’m a Creative Genius! that will surpass any other detail I would give.
We believe you’re about to release a new collection! Tell us about it!
Yes! It is a body of work I'm working on presently and will be out in a couple of weeks.
The collection is new, edgy, and will be exciting for my loyal customers; and new clients who want to feel the uniqueness of the Max Chidera Brand.
It's a collection for everyone!
Being a collection for everyone, I think this is what makes you stand out as a designer, at the same time presenting opportunities for people to feel you through your output.
I hope when people buy this piece, they share in this vision that I am putting out.
More importantly, I want people to wear these pieces with vigor and class.
Who are the Designers and Creatives you look up to?
I do not look up to anyone!
However, I’m inspired by a couple of creatives, like Alexander McQueen, Jimmy Choo, Olivier Roistering, Iris van Herpen, Niccolo Casas, Anouk Wipprecht, Julia Korner, and a few others.
What motivates and inspires you?
In no order; nature, mystery, disorders, possibilities, architecture, and people.

Lol, Yes!
I run a fashion tech startup called CLOTHIDOM. It's still in its infancy stage.
It is also for the nearest future; call it Uber for clothing, and you are not wrong!
Await the revelation of specifics for CLOTHIDOM to be made public!
However, If you noticed the names from my inspirations, most of them are Fashion High Tech designers, and I would say Fashion Tech is my core!
What is your advice for people coming up in the Creative industry?
Start early, fail forward, and move. Always remember direction is more important than speed. It will be worth it in the end!
